Ryan Reynolds Cannot Pronounce ‘Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch’ for the Life of Him, Mumbles Slurs of Insults

There is one national competition that the United States holds every year; the National Spelling Bee competition. The competitors have spelled some complicated words in a few seconds. Harini Logan won the 2022 Scripps National Spelling Bee via the first Spell-off in Bee history. She correctly spelled 21 words in 90 seconds. Now, imagine an American-Canadian actor, Ryan Reynolds, competing in the competition. After this information, if you imagined him winning the competition, you’d definitely change your mind.

The Deadpool star appeared with Rob McElhenney to check their knowledge about football. Among many other questions related to the game, there were a few questions that Ryan Reynolds couldn’t answer. Ryan Reynolds literally couldn’t pronounce the word

While Ryan and Rob are in the news because of their joint purchase of the Welsh soccer club Wrexham A.F.C. both the actors, therefore, sat together to test their knowledge about the game with GQ. Their face-off and Q&A about the game was a fun session to watch.

In the very beginning, when Rob asked Ryan about the offsides, he hilariously revealed he didn’t know. He said, “Nobody knows what the F*ck an offside is. Nobody. Not even the refs.” As hilarious as this sounds, it becomes more interesting as they go on. Ryan then used one foreign word in a sentence and then he got to ask the question.

The question was: “The Walsh village of llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch is the second longest place name in the world. How many syllables does it have?” Instead of reading the longest name, he said, “Ryan, go f*ck yourself.”

However, Rob almost knew the answer to this question, without having Ryan pronounce it out loud. And surprisingly enough, Rob’s answer was very much close to the actual number of syllables. Rob, on the other hand, then pronounced the word correctly and blew Ryan’s mind.
