Netflix did an amazing job with its newest comedy series, Uncoupled. Not only does the show have a heartfelt storyline and hilarious moments, but it also has a great ensemble of actors. And at the lead of Uncoupled was the How I Met Your Mother fame Neil Patrick Harris. The 49-year-old actor was the heart and soul of the show, and much of its new success is because of him.

As a result, it is an important question to ask whether the old cast, including Neil, will return for a second season or not. Let us try to figure out whom we could see in a probable second season of Uncoupled.

Can we expect Neil Patrick Harris to return for Uncoupled season 2?

The cliffhanger from Uncoupled season one nearly assures the return of Neil Patrick Harris as Michael and Tuc Watkins as Colin in season two. Aside from the principal pair, we are also expecting Emerson Brooks, Brooks Ashmanskas, and Tisha Campbell to reprise their roles as Michael’s best friends. At the same time, Marcia Gay Harden will bring another layer of drama to the show’s narrative. Depending on how Uncoupled season two unfolds, Netflix will be adding more cast members to the mix.

Previously Neil had talked quite highly of the show and even mentioned how he found it refusing. So for the actor to continue working in the show he loves is understandable.

When will Uncoupled season 2 release?

Netflix has not officially approved the second season of Uncoupled. Uncoupled’s destiny, however, should be determined by the end of September 2022 since Netflix announced Heartstopper‘s season two a month after its premiere. Given Netflix’s release timetable for other comparable rom-com episodes, Uncoupled season two will most certainly be available near the end of 2023, assuming production begins soon. Also, after the shows received great views, it might actually be safe to say that a new season of Uncoupled is likely to happen.
