Ciri is Geral’s adaptive daughter. Ciri was bound to Geralt by the “law of surprise” promise her father, Duny, made to the witcher for saving his life. Until the end of season 1, Geralt searches for Ciri and Ciri for Geralt. However, at the very end of the eighth episode of the first season, they both meet. 5. The introduction between the father and daughter

When at the end of the first season they finally meet, Geralt takes Ciri to the aftermath of the battle of Sodden at the beginning of the second season. This conversation between the two is the gist of what the viewers would see the entire season. During this conversation, Geralt clarifies to Ciri the Law of Surprise. Here, the viewers and Ciri get to know she means more to the Witcher.

4. When Ciri hugs Geralt

When the prostitutes doubt Geralt’s strengths, Ciri is confused. This is the time when one of the infected witchers creates chaos in Kaer Morhen. When the women take shelter in Ciri’s room, they start doubting Geralt. Because Ciri has known the witcher for just a few days only, it is hard for her to know what to believe and who to believe. However, when Geralt finally arrives at Ciri’s door, she runs toward him to hug him.

This adorable gesture by Ciri melted many hearts, including Geralt’s. After the incident, Geralt finally takes Ciri to train so that she can be fearless and ready.

3. The reunion of Ciri and Geralt

When Yennefer kidnaps Ciri to sacrifice, Geralt once again saves the day. He and Jaskier reach the spot where Yen has taken Ciri. While Yennefer and Ciri try to run away from the Cintran soldiers, they get caught. Although we see Ciri fighting and trying to defend herself, Geralt arrives and saves the princess. 

Here, we see Geralt, the most broken, as he is ready to slit the throat of the love of his life. He sends Ciri back to Kaer Morhen with Jaskier. The furious, heartbroken, yet brave Geralt proves himself once again while winning the viewers over.

2. When Geralt stops Ciri from becoming a witcher

We all want to be like our parents. In the same way, Ciri wanted to be just like Geralt. With the permission of Vesemir, she decides to turn herself into a witcher. However, Geralt interrupts her and doesn’t let her do so. He assures Ciri that she is enough. He makes sure Ciri knows she is already an extraordinary child and doesn’t need to be one.

Well, isn’t it something every child needs to hear from their fathers? Once again, the Geralt-Ciri bond wins the hearts of the viewers.

1.  When Geralt has the unshaken belief

This was the most horrific and critical moment in the series. While everyone else thought Ciri might not be strong enough, Geralt had an unshaken faith. When Voleth Meir created chaos, Geralt turned to his daughter to send the monster back to its realm. He has enough faith in Ciri’s power. Thus, he pushes her and supports her in channeling her power.
