Henry Cavill sends out a symbolic gift as a token of gratitude

Working with the crew and actors for such a long time connects one another very well. Therefore, when they wrap up shooting, it makes them emotional to say goodbye. Millie Bobby Brown also spoke about how tough it was for her to say goodbye to the cast and crew of Stranger Things. However, Superman has his own way of expressing his feelings for his colleagues. Here, look at his gesture.

Geralt of Rivia sent out these medallions and a card for the cast and crew of the show. The medallion is representative of the three major characters: Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri. On the card, Cavill thanked everyone for their determination and dedication while wishing them a well-rested break. Fans of the show and actors appreciated this thoughtful gesture. But for those who don’t know what this medallion is, here is a little more about it.

What is this medallion?

The medallion is a vital part of both the series and the original books. It is the symbol of a Witcher’s profession and identity of which school the Witcher comes from. It gives them the strength and power of sensing any supernatural elements available around them. Each of these characters has different symbols, i.e. Geralt has Gwynbleidd, Ciri has Zireael and Yennefer’s symbol is The Obsidian Star.

Gwynbleidd is an Elder Speech term for The White Wolf, a name many call Geralt throughout the show. Geralt uses the symbolic pendant to detect any monster or magic around him. It strengthens him while creating an aura around him to protect himself. As for the story of the book goes, Zireael is an old gwyhyr sword forged by gnomes in Tir Tochair, and is given to Ciri as a gift. If you watch the whole show, you’ll realize this symbol is certainly a perfect suit for Ciri. And last but not the least, Yennefer’s Obsidian Star necklace. It differs in the game from the show. In the show, the necklace is asymmetrical and has eight points. However, it’s symbolic of her magical power and representative of her character.
