It is one thing to have popular buildings lit up in the colors of a famous show, but Australia seems to have a rather special space in the minds of the Stranger Things team. Right before the release of the fourth and final season of the sci-fi drama series, a gateway to the Upside Down appeared at one of the beaches in the country. And just like the portal in the show, it is nothing but scary.

While Dustin got his hands on one of the weirdest pets of all time, it was the normal pet owners who first saw this portal. Here is everything that we know about this new portal, location, look, and more. Also, will it ever close?

It was a regular, beautiful morning at the Bondi Beach when early morning dog walkers and wave riders were taken by surprise. As they head on to their normal schedules, they noticed an unusual opening in the fabric of space and time. The opening is identical to what we saw in the Netflix Original show, Stranger Things. Similar to the gate to Upside Down, which was opened by Eleven.

This portal in Sydney’s east also had the same tentacles and the red core. And as if that was not alarming enough, more such portals are predicated to appear globally. And to add more to the already scary scene, witnesses saw many people in yellow jumpsuits observing this gateway in Australia. We will probably be able to learn about these portals in the coming hours. As the final season of the show is now streaming on Netflix globally.

We only hope that no Demogorgon or Vecna-like creature appears through any of these gateways. As not every one of us has the privilege of having Millie Bobby Brown‘s Eleven save us.
