The creative genius awakened in Will Smith
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was the 90s favorite sitcom. Will got the part in 10 minutes as he revealed on My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman. And when there came a reboot of the show, Will got excited along with the Super Bowl. And this is how he created a commercial for the love of football, recreating his Fresh Prince vibes.
Smith recreated the Super Bowl theme song with his Fresh Prince persona and celebrated with a lot of people, as seen in the video above. The iconic actor FaceTimed with different artists to make the music. Those artists included rappers, beatboxes, dancers, and many more. “Now this is the story all about how…” started a rapper along with a young man dancing and doing flips at an airport.
Interestingly, the commercial also includes an Indian musician who played an Indian musical instrument called Tabla. Rappers and singers from different parts got together to create the theme song. A flutist, two different dance crews, and a mariachi band take turns to support the lyrics of the song. The reboot titled Bel-Air premiered on the same day as Super Bowl, which was on February 13, 2022. It premiered exclusively on Peacock, which you can stream here along with Will Smith’s debut as an actor in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air on Netflix here.
