Although the Oscar-winner actor has previously talked about the slap-gate, this time he is worried it might affect the hard work and efforts of all the people connected to the film. In this interview, Smith said his actions might affect the minds of the critics and the viewers. He constantly worries about his team getting penalized because of him.

The Men in Black actor praised the work of the director Antoine Fuqua and the cinematographer Robert Richardson. He even appreciated the work of Ben Foster and Charmaine Bingwa and expressed his concerns for them to go unnoticed. “I definitely lose a couple winks of sleep every night thinking that I could have potentially penalized my team,” said Smith. The actor also promised to do whatever he could to get his team seen in the light of appreciation that they deserve.

At the private screening of the film, he addressed the issue of the slap gate as well. He revealed he got calls from Floyd Mayweather, Jr. for 10 days after the incident. The boxer checked in on him, as he himself had a history of domestic violence. However, the case differed from Smith’s.
