The only thing missing in The Sandman adaptation
Colleen pours love for the adaptation and the characters, especially for Dream. She praises Tom Sturridge for his remarkable performance. She says that Tom, as Dream, has brought something on-screen that we rarely see enough. His restraint, subtlety, and a knife’s edge elegance won over her heart. No one other than Tom would have portrayed the character perfectly, as they would have missed the quiet grace, menace, and brittle fragility. “But with Sturridge as #Sandman he is like a whirlpool you fall into,” writes Colleen.
Tom commands attention with small moments. Even when his power is unleashed, he is grand and stately. She also appreciates The Corinthian portrayed by Boyd Holbrook and Mason Alexander Park (Desire). But this one flaw that she points out is a little surprising. She writes, “The only thing wrong with the first season of #Sandmanonneetflix was that it was too short.”
