In 2014, The Gray Man star made his directional debut by co-producing and writing the film called Lost River. It is an American fantasy thriller film. The stars of the film include Christina Hendricks, Saoirse Ronan, Iain De Caestecker, Matt Smith, Ben Mendelsohn, Barbara Steele, and Eva Mendes. In an interview, the House of the Dragon star Matt Smith opened up about how he felt when he first met Ryan.

Matt was going back from New York when he got a call from Ryan’s team. He stayed and waited for the actor to come. As soon as Ryan entered the room, he greeted Matt by calling his name and that made Matt go gaga over this gesture.
