‘Love, Death and Robots’, ‘Our Great National Parks’ and Other Netflix Shows That Bagged Emmy Awards
It’s that time of the year again. While all the celebrities are decked up and walking the red carpet, fans like us are in front of our screens praying for our favorite shows. We are, of course, referring to the prestigious Emmy Awards. While the Primetime ceremony will take place on September 12, the first evening of the 2022 Creative Arts Emmy Awards took place last night on September 3. While many of the predictions came true, some underdogs paved their way through and took the trophy home. With some stellar pieces of content on the nomination list, the competition couldn’t be any fiercer. After the first night, Netflix and the combined HBO/HBO Max are neck to neck with 8 Emmy Awards winners from both streamers. Let’s find out which of our favorite Netflix shows bagged the eminent accolade.

Netflix’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards winners
As a surprise to no one, the Netflix and Riot Games production Arcane stole the show with not one, but two awards to its name. It won the Outstanding Animated Program for the episode titled When These Walls Come Tumbling Down. The stunning show also won Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation (Juried award) for The Boy Survivor.
The dark horse for the giant streamer was definitely Laura Ritchie’s Love on the Spectrum U.S. The Northern Pictures production absolutely knocked it out of the park with three Emmys. Apart from taking home the trophy as an Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program, the dating show also secured the Creative Arts Emmy for Outstanding Casting and Outstanding Picture Editing for an Unstructured Reality Program.
An absolute crowd-pleaser of a show, Queer Eye, received the award for the Outstanding Structured Reality Program. More love to the Fab 5! Barack Obama is only the 2nd US president to take home an Emmy award. Along with all the love and appreciation, he also won the Outstanding Narrator prize for Our Great National Parks. As if anyone ever doubted his oratory skills!

Last, but definitely not least, Love, Death + Robots, a Blur Studio production, emerged as the Creative Arts Emmy Award winner for Outstanding Short Form Animated Program for its mind-bending and breathtaking episode titled Jibaro.
