Now, while everyone is waiting for Man of Steel 2 to happen, which is uncertain, how do you think Superman would turn out in 2023?

After a long break, Superman finally wore his cape and returned to the Universe. While Black Adam welcomed him with open arms, fans are waiting to see what the future holds for him. Henry Cavill might get in on other projects in the DC in 2023. According to the sources, Cavill’s Superman might appear in DC’s The Flash and another big project.

According to a different plan, Cavill’s Superman and Ben Affleck’s Batman were to be replaced by Bruce Wayne and Supergirl in The Flash. But now that Ben Affleck will appear in Aquaman 2, there are possibilities of Cavill’s Superman, too. The appearance of Superman in The Flash might reinstate him permanently. However, there are other projects as well, which the DCEU is planning for 2023. And in one of them, Superman might appear again. Which project is that?

Well, in 2023, the DCEU has Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Blue Beetle, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. However, since Aquaman has Affleck for the future setup, it doesn’t need Superman in it. While Blue Beetle is uncertain about being part of DC’s canon, only one project is left. Although Cavill’s Superman had a headless appearance in Shazam!, there are talks about Shazam and Wonder Woman teaming up. Even if it happens, there is still plenty of room for Superman and Shazam’s team to appear together.

Under the new leadership of James Gunn at the DCEU, there are plenty of new and creative opportunities for Superman. We just have to wait for the official announcements.
