Fans react to Evan Peters playing Jeffrey Dahmer on Netflix, check out the reviews

Evan Peters became a household name, mostly playing negative characters that would cause you nightmares. The actor is just phenomenal at portraying evil characters. He is an American Horror Story mainstay and has played various serial killers throughout the series’ run. That doesn’t mean he didn’t branch out. He had roles in Wanda Vision, Pose, X-Men: Apocalypse, and Mare of Easttown. He won a Primetime Emmy for Mare of Easttown. But he again returns to the screen to play the infamous cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer in Dahmer-Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story on Netflix.

The series reunites him once again with Emmy Winning director Ryan Murphy. The Original was released on the streamer on the 21st of July. And Peter’s performance in the 10-episode limited series is already gaining critical acclaim. Let’s take a look at what the fans are saying.

Fans’ reaction to Evan Peter on the Jeffrey Dahmer show on Netflix

The majority of the fans are blown away by his performance. They are only showering heaps of praises on the 35-year-old actor. 

 

Some are also concerned with his mental health. Previously, Evan Peters had to take a break from American Horror Story because of the nature of his roles. He took some time to escape from the dark place he found while preparing for the show.

Ryan Murphy co-wrote the series with Janet Mock and co-directed it with Carl Franklin. The minidrama tells the story of the gruesome murders from 1978 to 1991. But instead of focusing on a serial killer, Dahmer, the show showcases the victims’ point of view. 

The drama highlights racism, white privilege, homophobia, and the incompetence of the law enforcement that allowed Dahmer to continue his killing spree for decades. Seventeen boys and men lost their lives. The majority of them were people of color and underaged.
