Did ‘Stranger Things’ Manage to Bag Any Emmys This Year After Successful Ratings?
One of Netflix’s flagship shows, Stranger Things had an incredible season this year. A mammoth of a production, season 4 also had the longest runtime when compared to the previous seasons of the fantastical show. With the mind-bending storyline, cutting-edge visual effects, stunning imagery, and impeccable performances, the season had a lot to write home about. However, by the looks of it, none of this was enough for Stranger Things to bag an Emmy.
Apart from high ratings, financial success, and critical acclaim, another form of validation for any show is the awards. And what’s more prestigious than taking home a Primetime Emmy? Sadly, as successful as this year was for Stranger Things, an Emmy wasn’t part of it.

Stranger Things snubbed at the 74th Emmy Awards
While Stranger Things got a whopping 13 nominations for Primetime Emmy, the show definitely got the short end of the stick when it came to major categories. Every actor on the show is a treasure trove of talent. However, not even one of them got nominated for the best actor. In fact, Sadie Sink was an absolute fan favorite, and the audience expected at least a nomination for her stunning performance in the episode Dear Billy.

Other actors in the running were Jamie Campbell Bower, Millie Bobby Brown, and Joseph Quinn. Alas, all of them were snubbed with nary a nomination for anyone. While the sci-fi show could have bagged the Emmy for Best Drama Series, HBO’s Succession outshined Netflix’s crowned Jewel. Having said that, it is not all bleak on the Stranger Things Emmy front. The show did exceedingly well at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards held on September 3.
Chapter 4: Dear Billy snagged two accolades for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup and Outstanding Music Supervision. Additionally, Chapter 7: The Massacre At Hawkins Lab also won two awards for Outstanding Sound Editing and Sound Mixing. Apart from this, the show also took home the Emmy for Outstanding Stunt Coordination. According to the official site, Stranger Things has 12 Emmy wins out of 51 nominations.
