In an interview with the Build Series, Julia spoke about her initial acting days as a career. She spoke about how the English writer and actor, Tom Baker and his girlfriend helped her get the actress her first shot. The star was camera shy at the beginning, which is one of the prime reasons for her joining acting classes. She used to do a lot of student roles for Columbia Film School when she was merely 15. Baker was then the filmmaker for one of the student films starring Garner. His girlfriend “was interning at a casting office,” and helped Julia get her first audition.
Her first audition was for an open casting call with thousands of people, but she didn’t get the job then. A few months later, she auditioned for Martha Marcy May Marlene, and that was Garner’s first movie ever. She co-starred with many significantly recognised actors. She was seen sharing the screen with Sarah Paulson and Elizabeth Olsen. The movie was the hit of that era, and teenager Julia Garner was already a leading cast.

From playing student roles to playing Emmy magnet Ruth Langmore
Unlike other stars, Julia never considered acting a real job. Right after her first film, she did Electric children, an American sitcom which introduced her to a greater audience. Talking about the horror movie, We Are What We Are, and her scenes with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Julia said she got to learn a bunch of details about filming. “Everything’s shot on a green screen, and you’ve to imagine a lot when you’re shooting a horror movie,” said the actress.

Cut to 2016; Garner got her breakout role Ruth Langmore just as a tryst with her destiny. The actress got the email for the audition and she instantly fell for the incredible script of Ruth. Although her character wasn’t there in the first episode, the pilot took her away, and despite the differences between her and Ruth, she wanted the role too badly. And as it’s known to all, no one could have nailed it better than Julia herself. The character of Ruth Langmore was made for Julia and Julia alone. The actress proved it by winning two back-to-back Emmys for the best supporting role for the same.
We wish all the luck and support to the actress for the upcoming Emmy Awards in the year 2022. Do you think Julia will win another Emmy?
