In 2017, when Reynolds was asked about the intention behind the sensational kiss, the actor displayed his great sense of humor by saying that he did not know that he kissed Andrew Garfield until he got home that night. All he needed was a “map” to get out of his eyes. While the Free Guy actor tried to avoid answering this question for a long time, it was Spiderman who revealed the truth behind that kiss. As per Garfield, he told Ryan Reynolds that he should share a kiss with him instead of Blake Lively if he wins the best actor award.

They even discussed an elaborate plan that if Reynolds wins, he will lean a bit toward Blake and then last-minute kiss Garfield. Sadly, the 46-year-old actor did not win the award as his fellow Canadian actor Ryan Gosling took the trophy home. However, both the celebrated actors decided to go ahead for a kiss, anyway. The kiss went viral and even after six years is fresh in people’s memory.
