‘Virgin River’ Season 5 Starts Filming: What Can You Expect From Netflix’s Small-Town Drama With a Big Heart?
Amid all the larger-than-life, fantastical, and CGI-heavy shows gracing our screens at the moment, Netflix’s original series Virgin River brings back some good old-fashioned drama set in a cozy community town. Its unwavering position at number 2 on the Neilsen charts is proof enough that the audience is loving the tale of the quintessential small-town. And to their delight, Virgin River season 5 is well on its way.
Loosely adapted from Robyn Carr’s bestselling novel of the same name, the drama series follows the life of Mel Monroe and her move to an isolated town. Struggling with her past trauma and baggage, she finds a home in the small town, as it slowly grows on her. With the last season raising the steaks for Mel as well as the residents of Virgin River, let’s see what the mighty season 5 has in store for us.

As packed as season 4 was with so much happening in the seemingly quaint town, the finale left us with many unanswered questions. For instance, what’s next for Jack and Mel, the newly engaged couple with a little one on the way? Is there a wedding on the cards soon, possibly before the baby comes? Also, there was the revelation that Jack wasn’t the father of his ex, Charmine’s twins. What will his involvement in their lives look like? Perhaps, season 5 will explore more on this.

After many episodes of anticipation, the show uncovers that Melissa Montgomery is Nick’s sister. What will her involvement in Jack and Nick’s business lead to?
