With filming underway, what awaits us in Virgin River season 5?

Following the release of season 3 in 2021, the streaming giant green-lit the crowd-favorite show with a two-season renewal. Even before season 4 went live on Netflix, Actor Martin Henderson confirmed the start of the filming process by uploading a picture on Instagram with the caption “Jack’s back! Day 1 of shooting #virginriver Season 5.

As packed as season 4 was with so much happening in the seemingly quaint town, the finale left us with many unanswered questions. For instance, what’s next for Jack and Mel, the newly engaged couple with a little one on the way? Is there a wedding on the cards soon, possibly before the baby comes? Also, there was the revelation that Jack wasn’t the father of his ex, Charmine’s twins. What will his involvement in their lives look like? Perhaps, season 5 will explore more on this.

On the other hand, Hope is still recovering from her terrible accident at the end of season 3. From being a hated character, Hope has a beautiful arc and we wish things go better for her now that she isn’t rejecting her treatment anymore. Additionally, Brie finally stood up to her sexually abusive ex, Don, and refused to sign the NDA. She even threatens to file charges against him. After many episodes of anticipation, the show uncovers that Melissa Montgomery is Nick’s sister. What will her involvement in Jack and Nick’s business lead to?

We can soon expect a teaser/ trailer for the upcoming season that will give us some more insight. What are your thoughts on Virgin River season 5? Let us know in the comments.
