“There’s an opportunity for peacemaking”- Oprah Suggests Reunion of Harry and Meghan With the Royal Family Post Queen Elizabeth’s Demise
Following the demise of Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, all the eyes are on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The two stepped back as working royals in 2020 in order to make a life away from their homeland in California. Though the former royals are enjoying a life with their children, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor and Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, away from the House of Windsor for over two years, the fans are hoping for a reconciliation between the two brothers.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex ignited the hope of a reunion by joining Prince William and Kate Middleton for the floral tributes on Saturday. Harry and Meghan are expected to stay longer in the United Kingdom to honor Her Majesty. Meanwhile, Oprah Winfrey has described this as an opportunity for peacemaking.

Oprah wants Harry and Meghan to make peace with the royal family
Homecoming is not going to be easy for Harry and Meghan, as they have continued pitting themselves against the House of Windsor. However, Oprah believes that the time of grief gives families a chance to let go of the previous grudges and bounce back stronger.
The American host further clarified that she does not get into other people’s family matters and thus would not like to make a controversial comment on the relationship between Prince Harry and Prince William.
“During the ritual of burying your dead, there’s an opportunity for peacemaking. And hopefully, there will be that. Nobody consults me about their family business, so I try to stay out of people’s family business,” Oprah said as quoted by Fox.

Notably, it was during the Oprah Winfrey show that Harry and Meghan gave one of the most controversial interviews. The couple hurled massive accusations at the Royal family. They made a number of revelations, including certain members questioning the color of their newborn Archie.
Reflecting on one of the most talked-about interviews, Oprah added that it was a surprise for her as well. Her only purpose was to provide a platform for Harry and Meghan to put out their point of view after leaving home.
