The Sharma sisters impressed us in Bridgerton season 2 with their personality and character. And how can we forget how glamorous they look in the show? It’s no wonder magazines were quick to snatch the two of them as cover models. Recently, both the sisters, Simone Ashley aka Kate Sharma, and Charithra Chandran aka Edwina Sharma, featured in two of the most famous global magazines.

Considering that it is a Regency-era drama, no one expected Bridgerton to be so diverse, in terms of race, culture, tradition, and more. Shonda Rhimes however would have it no other way because she is on an aim to create an inclusive universe. A show that helps people around the globe feel seen. So, representing the South Asian culture through the Sharmas was a no brainer. The result was two breakout stars: Simone Ashley and Charithra Chandran.

When Kate and Edwina make their debut in the London society, they dazzle the Ton, much like how Ashley and Chandran have dazzled two top-tier magazines.

Simone Ashley and Charithra Chandran featured on the cover of two of the most globally prestigious magazine: Glamour and Teen Vogue.

Ashley is real-life Kate Sharma from Bridgerton: brave, intelligent, bold, and fierce at the same time. Kate’s chief aim was to get her sister married to a nice man from the Elite class of London. In the show, we see Ashley looking stunning in Regency-era costumes but Glamour found a different side on its latest cover.

In the photo, she is wearing a bold and bright yellow one-shoulder Salvatore Ferragamo dress and Tiffany & Co. earrings with dramatic eye makeup. Just like in the show, she is not wearing too much jewelry or makeup. And yet, she pulls off a classy look in style.

Charithra Chandran is soft-spoken, naïve, and carries a beautiful smile all day as Edwina in Bridgerton (She almost didn’t!) She loves her family a way too much, and always listens to her mother and Kate, her older sister. Since she has come to London to get married, we always saw her in fashionable clothes and elegant jewelry (according to Regency era standards, of course). We can see a hint of Edwina is Chandran’s cover photo for Teen Vogue.

Chandran sports a sleeveless bold print Christopher John Rogers dress with L’Enchanteur earrings and Pebble London armbands. There’s also a Right side bangle by Rainbow Unicorn Birthday Surprise. With this look, she is portraying the bolder shades of Edwina, which remain hidden in the show until the end. In a way, she represents an exotic blend of South Asian culture.
