Stranger Things season 4 was the biggest wave of terror and deaths for viewers when Vecna entered the screen with his evil intentions. A massive showdown between Eleven and Henry Creel made the fourth season of this Netflix sci-fi series special for fans. We waited three years for the show to arrive with its next installment, and it certainly was a worthwhile watch. Not only did the lives of characters take a new turn in this summer season but it entirely affected the playtime of the show.

Although the Duffer Brothers didn’t expect the episodes to be this long, even so, they knew that the grappling storylines wouldn’t fit in their defined runtime. And now people are wondering what runtime there would be for the final season when the recent one was the longest season till now. Let’s see what the creators have to share about it.

They will keep the episodes shorter, similar to earlier seasons of Stranger Things.

“I don’t think the run times will be as extreme in season five. We’re trying to return to the simplicity of the structure in season one, with bigger scale and scope,” said Matt Duffer.

However, the climax will be “pretty massive,” added the creator, since season 4 ended with fuming lava running across the town of Hawkins. Meanwhile, Duffers wishes to stick to developing the present crisis of season 4 without adding new characters now. Do you think a conventional runtime is enough to end the many stories in the show?
