Netflix has given way to a clear display of the spreading sickness in The Sandman
The official page of Netflix Geeked has posted an extended scene from the first episode of The Sandman. The post addressed fans for showing their love towards the show so they bestowed a gift of an expunged scene from the “Sleep of the Just” episode. The clip began with a different video as they might have edited and replaced it with Tom Sturridge’s voice for better impact on viewers.
The video took fans to a decade after the imprisonment of Dream where Burgess is hosting a party. And Alex is reading the newspaper about how “sleeping sickness” is still ravaging the world. However, nobody knew that the king of Dreams was secretly locked in the dungeons of The Order of Ancient Mysteries.
We see that Alex (Laurie Kynaston) is sympathetic to Dream being held but he never dared to take a stand. He brings the news to his father saying: “It only started when we captured Dream.” However, he tries to convince Magus that perhaps Dream will help them if they release him. Hearing these words from the unworthy son’s mouth he dismisses him to go and send off the people waiting outside. Check out the deleted scene pinned below:
