Netflix’s comedy-drama Rick and Morty is back on the screen with season six and the fans are absolutely in love with the show once again. The show travels between infinite universes and dimensions while revolving around the abusive Rick Sanchez and his timid grandson Morty. With Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon as the showrunners, Rick and Morty Season 6 strategically mocks the pop culture along with modern society and media.
While the audience has always loved the creator’s clever way of roasting the society at large, this time the show went one step ahead as they trolled the viewers. However, the insult was so subtle that most of the viewers might have not realized it. While the audience adores Rick and his grandson, they have also made one character extremely popular in the sitcom Evil Morty. The fans are obsessed with the antagonist, as his real name is Eye-Patch Morty. However, he is largely referred to as Evil Morty by the viewers. The love-hate relationship between the antagonist of the sitcom and the viewers didn’t go well with Rick. He mocked the latter for showering too much importance on the character.
Rick and Morty season 6 commences with the titular duo waiting for death while being stranded in the Citadel of Ricks. As they are stuck in the half-destroyed place, Morty acknowledges the success of Evil Morty’s plan. However, Rick didn’t agree with his partner as he exclaimed, “Evil Morty? Can we stop flattering this guy? His plan was to monologue and f**k off. He threw a tantrum to announce he was quitting Twitter.”
