Ozark season 4 filming locations
The show navigates through the ill fate of a financial advisor, Marty Byrde, brilliantly portrayed by Jason Bateman. He and his family find themselves on the bad side of a Mexican drug lord, Omar Navarro. As a result, Marty does everything in his power to keep his family out of harm’s way by striking a bargain with the ruthless killer. He offers to pay Omar back and expand his operations at a place flooded with people having loads of cash.
Marty and his family move to the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. As they start their money laundering business for the drug lord, they face new challenges and mysteries unfold. Significantly, the fourth season has two parts, and as per the fan’s reactions, the first part has left quite an impact on them.
One particular aspect of the show which the viewers find appealing is the production locations of the latest season. For those who wonder about the various locations of the show, let’s dive deep into the specifics.
This may be hard for some of you to believe, but the show’s filming doesn’t take place in Missouri. The primary location of the production is in Georgia. The fourth season started filming on 9th November 2020 and ended on 8th October 2021. It was filmed throughout Georgia in indoor and outdoor locations.
Majority of scenes in Atlanta, Georgia
The state of Georgia grants an impressive amount of tax benefits. As a result, the majority of the filming for Ozark happened at Lake Allatoona and Lake Lanier in Atlanta, instead of the Lake of Ozarks. However, a tiny part of the views has been used from the Lake of Ozarks compared to the extensive filming carried out in Atlanta.
Other locations involved were the Westview Cemetery’s Mausoleum and Abbey, at 1680 Westview Drive South-West in the city, and Eagle Rock Studios Atlanta, which is at 6205 Best Friend Road in Norcross, Gwinnett County. Meanwhile, creators of the show researched Alhonna resort and made a setup of the same in Georgia.
Another surprise location for the fans
Remember the Missouri Belle Casino? Well, they replicated it in Stone Mountain Park with the help of a boat. More precisely, a river cruise boat by the name, Georgia Queen, was parked in front of Joe’s Crab Shack at 504 East River Street in Savannah as ‘The Big Muddy’ casino.
The revelations of the locations of the show is as exciting as the show itself. Ozark season 4 brings the fans more drama and thrill that will keep you at the edge of your seats.
