Best know for MCU’s biggest films Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, Anthony and Joe Russo have now taken up The Electric State. Impressed by her performances, the dynamic duo specifically reached out and cast the Stranger Things star for the lead role. No wonder the young actress had nothing but gratitude and praise for them.
In an exclusive interview with Collider, the Enola Holmes star spoke about her newest action-adventure flick. She specifically delved into “the fact that they were so dead-set” for her to be in the film.
“That trust in a director with an actor, it’s really unheard of, and I don’t really get to experience that very often,” stated Brown.
The British actor was extremely grateful for the opportunity and described it as an “amazing experience” as well as a “really good collaborative effort.” She even gave a special mention to the incredible team and her costars from the film.

The Electric State is adapted from a book of the same name, written and illustrated by Simon Stålenhag. The narrative follows the journey of a teenage girl through the American mid-west in search of her brother. The story takes place in a retro-futuristic setting, displaying America as a post-apocalyptic society in shambles. Apart from Brown, the film will also star Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy), Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All At Once), and Stanley Tucci (The Devil Wears Prada).
