One thing we should all appreciate about the spinoff of the original Karate Kid movie series, Cobra Kai, is the diverse characters they have brought into play. Set 34 years after Daniel LaRusso defeated Johnny Lawrence in the 1984 All Valley Tournament, Cobra Kai is here with its cool karate moves and interesting character arcs. We get to learn an important life lesson from each of them. We get to understand the significance of family and companionship. Hence, the series has moved far beyond the popular rivalry of LaRusso and Lawrence while also staying true to its roots, focusing on characters like Samantha “Sam” LaRusso and her complicate love life.

Speaking of Sam’s love life, Mary Mouser recently hinted at how Samantha’s love story will unfold ahead of the most anticipated season 5 of the series. Samantha LaRusso is the eldest daughter of the Miagi Do sensei, Daniel LaRusso. Cobra Kai saw a bitter-sweet romance brewing between her and another prominent character of the story, Robby Keene and an equally complicated connection with Miguel Diaz. Mary Mouser talked about Sam’s love arc in Cobra Kai season 5

Mouser recently talked to Deadline about her character’s arc in season 5 of this kick-ass series. She claimed that people will be more or less delighted to see what the future holds for Samantha LaRusso. According to her, Sam has a family legacy to uphold and “much bigger fish to fry than boys at the moment.” She further said, “Samantha’s love life is one of my most favorite things because I just get to have so much fun hanging out with my friends on set and I get to call it work. I think people will be happy.”

For the time being, we will have to wait for September 9, 2022, to bring us the highly anticipated season of Cobra Kai. Only then can we unveil what’s Samantha’s love arc and if she will rekindle her romance with Robby. There are other twists and loose ends too that the upcoming season will have to unpack. So, let’s patiently wait for it to premiere on Netflix to have it all answered.
