Joe Keery Paid Netflix to Put Up the “Protect Steve” Billboard?
Stranger Things has just wrapped up its fourth season, but fans are not still over the dude with the iconic hair. Joe Keery made a guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and had the host laughing out loud with his witty remark regarding the Netflix billboard. The actor brought along his charm and, of course, his iconic hair to the Fallon show, as he chatted about his character on the show.

The actor jokingly admitted, “So I actually paid for this; it was really expensive.”
The billboard had gotten viral and was the cause of worry for Steve fans. Netflix knew exactly what it had to do to throw fans off! The billboard was put up right after the Demobats attacked Steve. Fans believed that the Duffer brothers would sacrifice their favorite character this season. But as it turns out, we worried for nothing. Steve escaped once again from the brink of death thanks to sheer luck and a little help from Eleven. However, he wasn’t aware of that at that time.

Joe Keery had no idea that the Duffer brothers would like him so much that they would keep writing him in. He was initially a one-season character. But the Duffers were extremely impressed with Joe and his character Steve that they kept building his character. And as we all know, they give him a wonderful redemption arc. It was the Duffers that jumped on the Steve train before we did!
Next, the actor is going to star in a heist/romantic drama, Marmalade, alongside Camila Morrone and Aldis Hodge. It is a story about a small-town man that gets thrown into jail. There he befriends his cellmate and together they escape to reunite with his lover.
