Jerrod Carmichael isn’t afraid of Will Smith; he pokes fun at him
Golden Globes host Jerrod Carmichael had plenty of things to say at the 80th installment of the awards ceremony. He took a dig at the Hollywood Foreign Press’ racist allegations and Church of Scientology’s David Miscavige’s wife, Shelly. But his most daring joke of the night was made at the expense of Will Smith.
After a brief commercial break, the host remarked that off-air, the organizers had awarded Will Smith a Rock Hudson award for Best Portrayal of Masculinity on Television. He was referencing the Oscars Slapgate last year when Will slapped Chris Rock across the face.

Rock was hosting that night and, as usual, was making jokes about the personalities present there. When he made a joke about Jada Pinkett’s shaved head, the Men in Black actor could not stand his wife being made fun of. Rock Hudson was one of the classic Hollywood superstars who reigned in the 1950s. Hudson was known for having secret sexual affairs with men in Hollywood.

He was widely known as a closeted gay. Years later, he would succumb to AIDS in 1985. However, it was not just Jerrod who cracked a joke about the Oscars fiasco. Eddie Murphy also pitched in during his acceptance speech when he was awarded the Cecil B DeMille Award.
Although the jokes are really funny, do you think they are as funny to Will?
