In the romantic comedy, Ryan Reynolds, who went on to bag the role of the Merc with a Mouth later in 2016, plays Mitch. In fact, the character is actively shown to have a Samurai sword throughout the movie. This is shown to be the choice of weapon when Ryan plays Wade Wilson in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Quite the coincidence?
Change Up saw both The Green Lantern star and Ozark actor Bateman in the lead. The story of their movie comedy flick revolved around two friends Mitch (Ryan Reynolds) and Dave (Jason Bateman), whose lives change when their bodies get swapped. One is a married lawyer while the other is a Playboy. The film takes you on an adventure with the character as they come to a realization that the other one’s life is not as merry as they thought. The movie also saw Olivia Wilde, Leslie Mann, and Sydney Rouviere in the lead.
