After Daniel Craig’s departure from the James Bond franchise, there are a lot of actors who are shortlisted by fans to play the role. Many actors have expressed their willingness to play the iconic role of James Bond to continue the legacy of Craig. However, Henry Cavill, Regé-Jean Page, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson are some names used frequently by fans. In a poll that the Britishers took to decide who could get the License to kill, none of these actors topped. So, who did the Britishers choose?

The James Bond franchise is one of the most-loved franchises and has a global fanbase. The English fans, specifically, took a poll to decide whom they want as their next James Bond. Cavill and Aaron Taylor-Johnson were considered two favorable candidates however, the poll got an unlikely winner. Cavill stood at the second spot with 11% of favorable votes. What surprised everyone was the votes the British actor, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, received, as reported by Express.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson went further down with 6% of favorable votes followed by the Peaky Blinders star, Cillian Murphy with 5.2% votes. Then who is the first choice of the UK citizens for their next James Bond? It is none other than Tom Hardy who got 12% of the total votes. While 67% of the total voters think the next James Bond should belong to Gen X (35-50), 26% of the voters believe that he should be a Millennial (18-34).

Moreover, 51 percent of the total voters said they would prefer their next James Bond with the British accent while 38 percent firmly wanted it. Though Tom Hardy beat the top-most-loved British actors, who else were in line?

Although the franchise is doing its part in finding the next 007 agents, fans can not keep their calm. They chose the top 10 actors who could play the role. Apart from the above-mentioned actors, Richard Madden (8.9%), the Spider-Man star, Tom Holland, (8.4%) along with James Norton (8%) were in line.

Idris Elba was also on the list who got the 7% of approval followed by Robert Pattinson with the 6.6%. While Tom Hiddleston stood at 6.2% on the list.
