Duke of Sussex Harry and Duchess Meghan will be returning to the United Kingdom next month. The couple has been facing a lot of problems since they promised Netflix a documentary. Some people even say that they gave out everything in the Oprah interview. Now, with their UK visit, a Netflix team will be following the Duke and Duchess for a documentary. The ex-working royals would want to avoid any “embarrassing” events on video.

Usually, these dates are kept confidential. So, why did the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have to reveal them in advance? Let’s find out.

The reason behind the revelation of dates by the couple

As the couple is going to the UK next month, they will be participating in a number of charitable activities that are “close to their hearts.” The Invictus Games are set to arrive in Dusseldorf, Germany, in a year, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be there to commemorate the occasion. The dates of this visit were recently revealed by the royal couple, and Editor at Large of the Mail, Charlotte Griffiths, thinks they did so to avoid embarrassment.

Griffiths recently interviewed with MailPlus’ Palace Confidential. In the interview, she openly talked about the Royal couple and made some big revelations while commenting on the revealed dates. “I think they released these dates in advance because they want to give a chance for crowds to gather. Because, if they do have a Netflix crew with them, imagine how embarrassing it would be if there were just three people there waving,” Griffiths said.

She said that the tour announcement was made to prevent the “embarrassment” of empty audiences. Well, Charlotte might be right since the couple is still facing “writer’s block,” which has no guaranteed end.

As you all know, Netflix signed a $100 million contract with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. But, there have been problems with the agreement for quite some time. Netflix is unhappy and doubting the partnership since the Sussexes couldn’t provide the required content they were supposed to. According to news.com, their visit to the UK might give birth to new problems.

The royal commentator Jonathan Sacerdoti remarked that even though Harry and Meghan took a lot of time and money in the production, the project will still be “disappointing”. He also advised Netflix to “reconsider the entire notion“. People won’t watch the series to learn anything new about the royals, according to Mr. Sacerdoti, but rather to witness events we have previously seen.
