It will be hard for any streaming platform to compete with Netflix when it comes to science and fantasy fiction. The American streaming service has a vast science fiction library and most of the shows and movies are absolutely fan-favorite. Some of the best sci-fi dramas on the streamer include the likes of Stranger Things, The Umbrella Academy, Another Life, Lost in the sea, Van Helsing, and many more.

Netflix is all set to add another feather to its illustrious collection of supernatural shows with The Imperfects. It is another larger-than-life show produced by Netflix that includes everything one can expect from a sci-fi show; horror, monsters, talking animals, supernatural powers, hideous creatures, crackhead human beings, etc.

A sneak peek at The Imperfects near-perfect trailer by Netflix

The Imperfects is a ten-episode series and will be having its global debut on September 8 on Netflix. There is already a massive buzz for the series. The streaming service only added to the excitement by releasing the much-awaited trailer. While the 2 minutes and 39 seconds trailer doesn’t give out much about the story, it definitely promises a lot of amazing twists and turns. 

The show will mainly revolve around three young adults, namely, Abbi, Tilda, and Juan. Following an experiment by Dr. Alex Sarkov, the trio develops some features of the monsters like shape-shifting and telekinesis. Enraged with the scientist, Abbi, Tilda, and Juan join forces to search for Sarkov.

However, the journey won’t be easy as they will have to deal with monster mutations, college applications, government agencies, and weird changes in their body. The trailer perfectly depicts the helplessness and frustration of the three college students and also gives a sneak peek at their revenge mission.

Meanwhile, Alex is unaware of three of his own creations hunting him down and is busy with his mission of bringing a monumental change to the human genome. 

Let’s meet the cast of The Imperfects 

The ten-episode thriller has Denni Heaton and Shelley Erikson as its showrunners. This will be the second project together for the duo for Netflix. They previously created The Order for the service, but it couldn’t live up to its hype and crashed after a short-stint. 

Chad Oakes and Mike Frislev have also joined the show as co-producers. Known for his works in Genius and The Order, Emmy Award winner director Mathias Herndl will be behind the camera. 

The actor Italia Ricci, famous for her role in Designated Survivor and Chasing Life, will be seen as the leading lady in Netflix’s The Imperfects. The other cast members include the likes of Iñaki Godoy, Morgan Taylor Campbell, Rhianna Jagpal, Kyra Zagorsky, and Rhys Nicholson.
