Cobra Kai Season 5 – Netflix Release Date, Cast, Synopsis, and What to Expect

Cobra Kai might have stolen this new year’s thunder. And 2021 isn’t the only year it has done it, as Netflix released season 3 on January 1, 2021. Although no one is complaining, fans who have already binged the series surely regret it. However, we have some news regarding Cobra Kai season 5.

Season 4 ended with a lot of interesting plotlines, which can take the series in a whole new direction. Viewer discretion is advised, as there might be spoilers ahead. So, let us look at new-old cast members, who will join in season 5.

Cobra Kai season 5 release date and synopsis

For now, Netflix and the creators have only confirmed the wrap of season 5’s filming. But, apart from the end of filming, there is no news regarding the release date of the next season. We believe fans will get the release date of next season once Netflix releases the trailer or teaser for the season.

But if fans want to be optimistic, they can expect the 5th around the same time next new year. As for the synopsis, Netflix will definitely release it as the caption of a tweet or the description of a YouTube video of teaser or trailer.

What to expect from the new season?

Tory and Robby are having second thoughts about Cobra Kai’s methods. Thus, Cobra Kai will have a lot to deal with in the next season. All is not well at Eagle Fang, as Miguel has left for Mexico to find his dad. Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang might have to shut down to honor their bet with Cobra Kai. Seeds of a new rivalry between Kenny and Anthony are sowed.

But, there are some positives too, like John Kreese might have a redemption arc as we see him falsely implicated in season 4. There are new beginnings for Robby and Johnny too, as they have finally had a moment and discussed their feelings.

Who will join Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do in season 5?

Both the dojos will have new senseis joining in for the next season. After Kreese’s arrest, Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) called upon his old friend Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan) to help him at Cobra Kai. Daniel (Ralph Macchio) also has a newfound ally in Chozen Toguchi (Yuji Okumoto), who will help Daniel teach offense in Miyai-Do.
