Now the Senseis, Ralph Macchio, and William Zabka portray Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, respectively. They train the high school students in the art of Karate that they’ve learned from their respective senseis. As can be seen in the show, music has always been an inseparable part of Johnny’s life. A Cobra Kai star Martin Kove (Sensei John Kreese) invited Birenberg to his podcast ‘Kicking It with the Koves’. There, he explained how his music captures every type of ’80s’ music. The whole genre represented in the show has its own unique effect. Well, Johnny likes heavy metal such as Dee Snider, Foreigner, and Whitesnake. Birenberg said that they had to pitch their concept that was an ’80s throwback. he also talks about the cinematic traditions in the ’80s. “That’s a few different things because you have the synth wave. You have the hair metal,” says Birenberg.

“Strike First” is the original track by Birenberg/Robinson, which has become the theme for Cobra Kai. Not only the songs but also the instrumental music also covers a wide range of music, which also includes the music inspired by the films. Leo Birenberg posted this tweet and now is making the fans eager to listen to the music now.

“And you also have orchestra that is as busy and epic as you would find in some of these Amblin ‘80s movies,” Birenberg said. “Or in The Karate Kid there’s an orchestral tradition too. We really wanted to encompass all of that because we thought it was necessary for the story.”
