From Giant Squirrel to Sherlock Holmes, The New ‘Rick and Morty’ season 6 Opening Sequence Has It All!

If you have been missing the weird grandpa-grandson duo for a while, the wait is now over. Rick and Morty season 6 will be here in the blink of your eyes. Perhaps, as this article finds you, they are already waiting for you on Netflix’s platform with their raw, witty humor, and inside jokes. While Adult Swim has already kept fans on their toes with new promos, teaser videos, images, interviews, and whatnot, we got yet another promo, an updated opening sequence rather, adding joy to our joys.

The season 5 finale had fans bewildered as Evil Morty had broken through the Central Finite Curve and Citadels of Ricks. They are eager now more than ever as to how this boggling tale would unfold in the sixth installment. And the updated opening is here just in time to give us a glimpse of what we are getting without revealing all of it.

Rick and Morty season 6 opening sequence teases a promising installment to the series

In the earlier teasers, Adult Swim introduced to us something called Wormageddon, a worldwide attack of giant alien worms on earth. We also have an idea that the Smith family will come together under one roof, joining hands with older allies, promising a lot more canon and continuity. However, this newly released season 6 opening sequence took us by surprise.

The 46 seconds video is enough to have all the reasons to pine for the latest season of Rick and Morty. After a disastrous season 5 finale, the Smith family must confront the universe in fresh adventures. A big, vicious flying squirrel, a spoof of Sherlock Holmes, a butter-based Morty, and a parade balloon of Rick—notably carried by Beth the clone—are among the new clips in the opener. The new introduction teases the Smith family working together, even though there is no mention of Evil Morty or Wormageddon.

Are you excited for Rick and Morty season 6?
