2022 has been a wild year for Kdrama fans. According to an estimate taken in July of 2022, the total number of hours that Kdramas were viewed on Netflix went beyond a billion. And kdramas coming to Netflix in September will have you hooked. After the crazy success of Squid Game, Netflix has been indulging kdrama fans more than ever. This year Netflix added more gems to every kdrama genre.

September KDramas on Netflix
Netflix was gracious enough to give us several Kdramas this year. The gripping high school series All Of Us Are Dead in the trademark zombie apocalypse kdrama genre, the intriguing romantic comedy kdrama A Business Proposal, and the moving anthology series Our Blues are among many. Not just in terms of stories that will leave a deep impact on us, but Kdramas on Netflix in 2022 also marked the return of many legends.
Beloved actor Kim Woo Bin returned after a six-year-long hiatus, similarly, Lee Byung Hun, So Ji Sub, and Ji Chang Wook also blessed us with stellar performances in 2022. While it’s been raining cats and dogs of brilliant Kdramas on Netflix, the coming month is going to be a quiet one.
Little Women
Ladies and gentlemen, the wait is finally over! The long-awaited Korean adaptation of Loisa May Alcott’s worldwide famous novel ‘Little Women’ will be coming to Netflix in September. There is a reason why nearly everyone has this series on their watchlist and believes it will be brilliant. Firstly, the talented Jung Seo Kyung wrote the Korean adaptation of ‘Little Women’.
She is well known for her work in The Truth Beneath, Hand Maiden, and the award-winning Kdrama Mother. Furthermore, Kim Hee Won is the director of this upcoming Korean show. She has also directed kdramas such as The Crowned Clown, Glamorous Temptation, and Vincenzo. This show will try to keep the magic of Louisa May’s novel alive by sticking very close to the original plot.
Over the course of twelve episodes, Little Women will tell the story of three sisters. Despite being neck-deep in poverty, their hearts are warm, and their love for each other is very strong. Moreover, each one of the sisters has an exquisite personality that you will find yourself relating to. To add the cherry on top Kim Go Eun (The King: Eternal Monarch), Nam Ji Hyun (Suspicious Partner), Park Ji Hoo (All Of Us Are Dead), Wi Ha Joon (Bad and Crazy), Uhm Ji Woon (Birthcare Center), and Uhm Ki Joon (Penthouse) will star in the show.
Make sure you do not miss out when the war breaks out between the Oh sisters and the wealthiest family on the land. The drama will be premiering on the 3rd of September on Netflix.
Narco Saints
This one is a major crime thriller based on true events, starring Ha Jung Woo (Lovers in Prague), Hwang Jung Min (Korean Peninsula), Park Hae Soo (Squid Game), Jo Woo Jin (Happiness), and Yoo Yeon Seok (Hospital Playlist). Narco Saints is a six-episode suspense thriller written and directed by Yoon Jong Bin (The Spy Gone North).

Once Upon a Small Town
To lighten up the mood, a romantic comedy Kdrama titled Once Upon A Small Town will also be airing on Netflix in September. Furthermore, this upcoming series is based on Park Ha Min’s intriguing novel titled ‘Unexpected Country Diary’ and has a total of five episodes. Similar to Netflix‘s Hometown Cha Cha Cha, this Kdrama too will take you away from the bustling city of Seoul to a quiet village called Heedong.

The kdrama follows Han Ji Yool, whose grandfather tricks him into taking care of his animal clinic for half a year while he tours Europe. Moreover, the cast of Once Upon a Small Town consists of Red Velvet’s Joy (Tempted), Choo Young Woo (School 2021), and Baek Sung Chul (How To Be Thirty). The series will premiere on the 5th of September, and we can’t wait!
