The plethora of content available on Netflix is both diverse and unique. The OTT Mughal, over the years, has become the go-to streaming platform for viewers all around the globe. One community that is especially pleased with Netflix and the wide variety of content that it presents is the anime community. The streaming giant by adding anime gems such as My Hero Academia, Naruto, HAIKYU!!, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, and DEATH NOTE, has gotten into the good books on anime fans up until it made a disastrous live-action adaptation of the anime that everyone swears by, Death Note

Albeit the platform makes great animes such as SPY X FAMILY and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Otakus still have a bitter taste in their mouth whenever they think of the 2017 Death Note movie. It seems like Netflix has finally decided to correct a decade-long mistake. Furthermore, the OTT platform has announced yet another Death Note live-action adaptation, but it isn’t taking any chances this time. Here is everything you need to know.

How is Netflix’s new Death Note live-action adaptation going to be different?

After learning from the adaptation that shall not be named, the OTT Mughal has roped in Duffer Brothers. The previous adaptation was more American-centric and was directed by Adam Wingard (Godzilla vs.Kong). The popular Japanese anime with Light Yagami and L at the center of its plot has a brilliant and layered storyline.

A movie remake would no doubt miss out on many important events. Thank the lords because this time, Netflix’s Death Note live-action adaptation is a series. Moreover, it comes from the Duffer brothers, who are the creators behind Netflix’s flagship series Stranger Things.

The previous series had an all White cast, which was again a step in the wrong direction. Although cast details have not been confirmed yet, fans are really hoping that they will choose Japanese actors for this one. The anime series struck a chord with millions despite its being otherwordly because its intriguing storyline is animated.

And if there is anyone who can make it seem realistic are the Duffer brothers. Albeit hesitantly, anime fans have their fingers crossed that this Netflix Death Note live-action adaptation will not disappoint them.
