Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival will surely go down in history. Not just for its grandeur but also for a lot of things that took place at the event. When Netflix first announced the comedic event back in 2018, they must not have had any idea of how big the event would actually grow to be. But as the pandemic happened. And finally, the week-long event of laughter was able to take place, and the whole world was amazed by it.

But the event had its fair share of incidents that the world shall remember for years to come. However, comedians being comedians, decided not to take it seriously but rather joke about it. Let us take a look at one of the funniest jokes about the Dave Chappelle incident.

On Friday, David Letterman took the stage for a Netflix Is a Joke Festival event, appearing to reply to Dave Chappelle’s recent attack at the Hollywood Bowl. Netflix posted footage of Letterman’s performance on social media on Saturday,

In the footage, the 75-year-old actor can be seen fixing his glasses before being frightened and sprinting to the stage’s side.   “I’m sorry – thought I saw a guy coming up here,” Letterman joked after regaining his composure.

“It’s just a waiter?” he remarked, seeming to be listening to someone in the crowd. He added, “It’s just been a little alarming — you know what I mean?”

“In deference to the people coming out here,” Letterman said, “let me just say this: When the show is finished, I will be in the lobby, and if anybody wants to come out and beat me up, by God, come on out.”

“How many of you would like to hit me right now?” he questioned, pretending to check for a show of hands.

A nod to the Oscars, maybe?

As it was revealed recently, in the new season of Letterman’s hit interview show “My Next Guest,” Academy Award Winner Will Smith will appear for an episode, so can we expect a joke from the long-time NBC veteran there too, about the Oscar incident? We will have to wait and see.
