David Letterman at Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival

On Friday, David Letterman took the stage for a Netflix Is a Joke Festival event, appearing to reply to Dave Chappelle’s recent attack at the Hollywood Bowl. Netflix posted footage of Letterman’s performance on social media on Saturday,

In the footage, the 75-year-old actor can be seen fixing his glasses before being frightened and sprinting to the stage’s side.   “I’m sorry – thought I saw a guy coming up here,” Letterman joked after regaining his composure.
