5 reasons that make Partner Track better than The Lincoln Lawyer

The plot is a perfect blend of comedy and drama

The Lincoln Lawyer is about a lawyer striving for justice against every hurdle placed in his path. The show celebrates Los Angeles and revolves around a murder mystery. Though there is no mystery in the new Netflix series Partner Track, there is plenty of drama.

There’s also a lot of comedy, so this is more of a dram-com. The drama takes place in New York City, amid a skyscraper-filled backdrop, in the prestigious yet old-school legal firm, Parsons Valentine. The plot sees our lead, Ingrid Yun (Arden Cho), trying to make partner at an elite law while handling her personal life. It perfectly combines personal and professional relationships, making the show easy to watch.

The show is layered with major themes such as representation

In Partner Track, Ingrid has a lot riding on her career success. She is a first-generation Korean American and the family’s first lawyer, and she feels pressure from her parents. She also works in an infamous boys’ club of a legal firm.

Ingrid and her buddies encourage one another while facing several work challenges. Will they break past the glass ceiling and become partners in the firm, or will they reconsider what success entails?
