We Are Sure You Missed These Details in My Little Pony: A New Generation
My Little Pony: A New Generation is the latest addition in the ever-growing kids series. This movie had surpassed everybody’s expectations and had set a new benchmark in the kids’ genre.
The film, which broadly focussed on accepting people with all their differences and living in unity, has also garnered praise from adults. One can easily draw parallels with reality, but there are other subtle details that you have surely missed. Let us look at these details.
Argyle predicts future

While the film does not explain why Argyle is so thoughtful for restoring relations between the three types of ponies, it drops clues that he can see the future. Argyle also bestows the key that will unlock the return of magic in the land upon Sunny.
At the start of the film, Argyle and Sunny play dress-up, and Argyle gives Sunny fake wings and a fake horn to make her the best possible earth pony. This prediction and the handing over of the key couldn’t be mere coincidences.
Sunny inherited Argyle’s sparkle
Izzy corrects Sunny’s misconceptions about unicorns having special powers, but she also tells Sunny about luminescence or sparkles. Izzy explains to Sunny how she can see every pony’s sparkles and how pegasi can steal luminescence.
Sunny’s luminescence, as described by Izzy, is lavender. While Sunny has patches of purple in her mane, they aren’t as significant as Argyles. The film doesn’t explain where Argyle is when Sunny grows up, but the lavender luminescence could be the answer.
Foreshadowing Sprout’s misdeeds
Sprout tells his mom he wants to be a sheriff pretty early in the film, and she even feels proud, but little does she expect what happens afterward. Sprout’s infamous stint as a ‘stallion-in-chief’ ends quickly. The other ponies, including Sprout’s mother, can’t tolerate Sprout anymore.
An ode to cinema classics
The film pays homage to many classics and has spread them throughout the scenes. The theatre’s premiere event is ‘Judgement Neigh,’ featuring a pony with muscles and laser eye, which is a pun for Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
There are other posters that show “Harry Trotter,” “Dirty Prancing,” and also one that resembles the Jaws poster but has “Horns” as the title.

Netflix fills the fans with nostalgia as the Mane 6 from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic has a cameo in the opening sequence of the film. Even our protagonist, Sunny, has got posters of these previous generations in her room.
The lighthouse observatory platform has displayed some images of the Mane 6 from their various adventures. Fans of My Little Pony must have recognized the tune that played on Izzy’s music box, as it was the series’ theme song.
