‘Vikings: Valhalla’ Cast—Where Have You Seen Frida Gustavsson, Bradley Freegard, Leo Suter, and Others Before?

Eight part series, Vikings: Valhalla takes place 100 years after the original Vikings series that aired on the History channel. The spin-off series pits the Christians against the pagans which ultimately leads to an end to the fearsome Scandinavian warriors. Fans have been happy with the casting choices, but they fail to put a finger on where they have seen these actors before. Here’s why they look so familiar: 

Frida Gustavsson plays Freydis Eriksdotter in Vikings: Valhalla

Frida portrays Freydis Eriksodtter, a pagan. She also starred in The Witcher as Ma and appeared in the first season of the show. You may have also seen her in 2020’s Partisan

Sam Corlett plays Leif Eriksson in Vikings: Valhalla

Freydis Eriksodotter’s brother Leif essayed by Sam Corlett may look very familiar because he has appeared as Caliban in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. He has also been in 2020’s The Dry

Leo Suter plays Harald Sigurdsson

Leo Suter acting credits include Sanditon, and The Liberator apart from Vikings: Valhalla. He essayed the role of Daniel Beecham in Beecham House and Drummond in Victoria. He acts as a mediator between the Pagans and the Christians in the Netflix show.

Caroline Henderson plays Jarl Haakon in Vikings: Valhalla

Caroline Henderson essays the role of Jarl Baalon on Vikings: Valhalla. She has previously acted in 2009’s Skymaster and 2007’s Always Yours

Jóhannes Jóhannesson plays Olaf Haroldson

Jóhannes character, Olaf is a believer in Christianity and follows the Old Testament. You’d be surprised to know that the actor has been in 2020’s Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, The Letter for The King and Cursed. He also played Lem Lemoncloack in Game of Thrones.

Bradley Freegard plays King Canute

Bradley plays the King of Denmark, King Canute in Vikings: Valhalla. He has also starred in Keeping Faith as Evan Howells and Mei Huwa in Gwaith/Cartref
