She went to music festivals and concerts by her favorite artists. However, she always had complaints after watching her favorite songs being played live.
But after talking to David Letterman and answering his amazing questions. Billie revealed that since she started going to concerts and performing live, she understands the artists better and knows why her songs felt different in concerts.

Billie Eilish understands singing in concerts better now
Billie and David’s conversation in the My Next Guest Needs No Introduction was one of the most authentic and genuine. The duo talked about some of the most personal things to Billie, like her journey with Tourette Syndrome to her choice of music.
But the interview was not just a history check on one of the most popular artists of the 21st century. We also understood how Billie has evolved as an artist.
And while being on that topic, Billie shares how she understands other artists whom she used to listen to growing up in a better way.
The 20-year-old artist shared that whenever she used to go to a concert by her favorite singer, she used to get sad. The reason she states was that the artist used to do a different version of songs Eilish loved while singing it live than the version they released for downloads.
Billie said that hearing the different versions made her go crazy, “It makes my skin crawl,” and she just wanted to listen to the original version.

But now that the seven-time Grammy-winning artist is headlining music festivals herself. She understands that an artist wants to do a song differently after performing it repeatedly.
Billie then retells how she recently listened to a performance of her’s in concert, and it made her realize how she herself was doing the same thing she hated as a fan.
