How amazing is it to watch our favorite superheroes come alive on the big screen? But you know what’s better? Entertaining the idea of a crossover between Marvel and DC, be it in comics or the cinematic universes. Owing to the competitors always at loggerheads, this dream seems near impossible. So, the fans have to settle for the small glimpses we get when actors from competing universes come together. And boy, did The Graham Norton Show pull off the unthinkable. The first interaction mishap between Henry Cavill and Tom Holland
Back in December 2021, The Graham Norton Show had a line-up featuring the who’s who of the entertainment world. It hosted Tom Holland and Zendaya from the Spider-Man franchise, The Witcher star Henry Cavill AKA Superman, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw from the acclaimed San Junipero episode of Black Mirror. It was the literal manifestation of the term star-studded.
While the entire interview was quite enjoyable, the story of Henry Cavill and Tom Holland meeting for the first time will leave you in splits. Holland’s first ever trip to LA was when he was just 11 years old to attend the Hollywood Spotlight Awards. During his visit to the little boy’s room, the excited Uncharted star came face to face with Superman himself, Henry Cavill. Well, not exactly face to face since Tom was only 11 at the time.
Tom narrates, and even partly acts out, the incident in the most hilarious way possible. While at the urinal, Tom says, “I remember looking up and seeing Superman next to me. And then I looked down…” This statement results in a roar of laughter and applause in the entire studio.

Henry Cavill, still laughing, can barely say the words, “You can’t say that,” when Graham Norton interjected with the punchline. Correcting Holland’s preposition and cracking a short joke at the same time, he said, “You were 11 and looked over.” After some more uproarious laughing, Graham paused and said, “Child Services.” That single phrase made the whole set erupt once again. Surely they had to cut and take a break after this scene for everyone to compose themselves.
