A rival in need is a friend indeed. Jean-Claude Van Damme once cleared the air on his equation with Arnold Schwarzenegger decades later. Both stars were at the peak of their careers around the same time in the 80s and 90s. With or without any issues, that would mean constant comparisons and speculations of a feud. But neither of them tried to put an end to these rumors, making them seem legitimate.

In addition, they even worked together on The Expendables 2 and Last Action Hero. But neither of the movies had scenes of them working at the same time, which added fuel to the fire. Still fit and active, both the actors are in their golden years now, and Van Damme had something to say in 2018.

They have been seen and clicked together at several events throughout their career. It is their love for martial arts, workouts, and fitness that has remained a common ground for their friendship.

As for Schwarzenegger’s health condition, the entertainer was born with a heart defect called aortic stenosis. Back in 1997, surgeons had to operate and replace his aortic valve assuring of a healthy and normal life after it. It worked out great, and the actor continued working, even becoming the governor of California. Although he had to be re-operated in 2018 as a result of wear and tear.

Although this is just one of the multiple rivalries that the Predator actor was said to have.

Stallone had his Rocky franchise while Schwarzenegger had Terminator. Although they did not share any personal animosity, the media would often portray it that way.
