While Honoring Adam Sandler, Chris Rock Revealed the One Brutal Joke He Skipped During ‘Selective Outrage’
Chris Rock held his silence for one whole year, before bursting out during Selective Outrage. Fans were waiting for him to break his silence ever since the Oscar slap gate incident took place. While Smith went on apologizing, Rock chose not to say much initially. But when the first-ever Netflix live comedy show was finally released, it did not disappoint.
If anything, Rock had to cancel out on certain jokes considering how brutal they were. So the brutal jokes that did make it to the show certainly had the potential to be more intense. But in a recent appearance, the comedian finally let out the one offensive joke that he had held back on.

The one joke that Chris Rock strikes off from his show
Rock rocked the art of minting money out of the controversial Oscars night. As per IndependentUK, the comedian made a speech when honoring Adam Sandler in the 24th Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. This was on 19th March, when Rock told the audience how they would get to hear jokes that were cut off by his Netflix special. That joke apparently had to do with the attack on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband and its comparison to Smith’s slap.
Considering the random, brutal attack, Rock shared how Paul Pelosi was the only guy who knew how it felt to be attacked like that. “Just me and you, Paul“, he cracked. As per reports, intruders got onto Pelosi’s property and hit him with a hammer on his head. It took surgery and a lot of rest for him to begin healing after the shocking incident.

But perhaps Pelosi’s position and power mixed with the brutality of the attack led Rock to keep it out of his special. But he certainly did not spare Will Smith in any of this.
How he finally covered the Will Smith controversy
Chris Rock not only targeted Will Smith but also his wife and actress Jada Pinkett Smith. By the end of the comedy show, he stated how Smith’s actions were the result of Selective Outrage since he spared his wife for cheating on him. He admitted how the slap hurt, but chose to keep silent in front of ‘white people’.
