To defend his wife, he did take this momentous action which cost him weeks of disgrace and backlash. People trolled The King Richard star for expressing his anger through violence. The actor was instantly banned from attending all the Academy award functions for ten years. After that, the whole Smith family laid low without catching public attention because Will was deeply affected by the incident. However, there was someone who constantly supported and cheered the MIB star in his dark times. He recently revealed how Floyd Mayweather was one of them.

He took the opportunity to appreciate the former boxer Floyd Mayweather, who supported him after the chaotic incident.

The actor stated that even though they both were not friends, Mayweather called him every day for ten days. He consoled Smith that he is a good man and talked to him so he didn’t feel alone and boycotted.

“You know you like the champ, right? I want you to hear my voice say it.’ That was every day he called me…and he’s like, that’s my friend forever,” revealed Smith.
