Hollywood is never short on new content. Time and again, a new film or series makes their ways to our screens. However, every once in a while a new project releases and takes the world by storm. In 2013, that project was Man of Steel starring Henry Cavill, directed by Zack Snyder. Henry Cavill as Superman is an experience that comes once in a lifetime. Although the audience witnessed Cavill as Superman in multiple films since 2013, we did not have a sequel to where it all began, i.e., Man Of Steel 2 until now.

While Black Adam is making the headlines everywhere, it seems like DC has something else going on too. As per latest rumors, Suicide Squad director James Gunn is working on a secret project with the franchise. And it seems like it has something to do with the Man of Steel. Is James Gun working on Man of Steel 2?

James Gunn is one of the most-sought after directors in the industry today. As we all know, previously the Guardians of the Galaxy director decided to proceed with the 2021 film Suicide Squad rather than a Superman project (it is not confirmed if it was Man of Steel 2). However, as per recent reports, James Gunn is working on a secret project. As per an insider source, “DC is definitely in play.”  

However since there is no confirmation from the franchise, it is too early to confirm whether James Gunn is working on Man of Steel 2. But with Cavill returning to the DC Extended Universe for a mid credit in Black Adam, there surely is a possibility.

Previously, even Black Adam producer co-producer Dany Garcia talked about possibilities with Henry Cavill’s Superman in the future. Apart from that, there are a few upcoming DC films lined up for the upcoming years such as Shazam! Fury of the Gods, The Flash, and Aquaman and The lost Kingdom.

Amidst all the buzz after his return in a cameo scene in Black Adam, The Witcher actor has a few projects lined up for the forthcoming years. One of of them is Enola Holmes 2, which will make its way to our screens later this year. Apart from that, rumors are that Cavill will also star in Lionsgate’s ‘Highlander’ Reboot.
