Jason Bateman, the star of the Netflix crime thriller Ozark, has been a Hollywood mainstay for years now. Although he started out on television, the actor soon rose to feature on the silver screen. Although he was mostly associated with comedy and has actually starred in a bunch of comedy films, he made a detour from his usual roles in Ozark. Fans saw him playing the selfish, calculative, Marty Byrde that put his family at risk due to his souring deals.
The show earned him an Emmy and established him as not only an actor but a producer and a director. Despite such achievements and a mammoth bank balance, the actor still wished for Drake to send him some clothes back in 2018.
Jason Bateman urged Drake to send him some clothes
Bateman was promoting his comedy movie Game Night in 2018 after wrapping up Ozark season 1. The movie was about a group of friends whose regular board game night turned into a real murder mystery. During one such promotional campaign, he sat down for a chat with ET Canada. The host was wearing a sweatshirt from Drake’s clothing line OVO that apparently Jason Bateman was a fan of. He then revealed that the rapper was a fan of his show, so he urged the Hotline Bling rapper to send him some OVO sweatshirts.
“You know Drake says he’s a fan of Ozark. Maybe he’ll send me some clothes,” said Jason.
Since then, the Netflix original has wrapped up after four seasons. The shocking end had fans talking for days early this year. However, the actor is planning to make a comeback to the streamer soon with Black Rabbit. Jude Law and Bateman are both attached to the project as executive producers.
The former will produce it through Riff Raff Entertainment and the latter will produce it through Aggregate Films. Zack Baylin and Kate Susman are serving as writers and producers. Apart from this, The Arrested Development actor has already entered a deal with the streamer to produce Florida Man.
