Why Are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Eager to Leave the UK?
The House of Windsor organised Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral on September 19. The entire royal family came together at Westminster Abbey in London to participate in the last monarch’s church service. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were also in attendance at the event to mourn the demise of the former’s grandmother.
Since the passing away of the Queen on September 08, Harry and Meghan have participated in all the events to pay their respect to the late Queen. A few days back, they had stunned the Britain public by participating in a walkout outside Windsor Castle with Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate to greet the mourners. Following the state funeral, the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex are eager to fly out of the United Kingdom. What is the reason behind the former senior royals’ eagerness to leave the UK? Let us find out.

Harry and Meghan are missing Montecito
Harry and Meghan had initially travelled to the United Kingdom to mark their presence in three philanthropic events. However, the trip that was supposed to end in less than a week’s time was stretched for over two weeks due to the death of Britain’s longest reigning monarch. As it was a professional outing, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left their children, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor and Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, back in Montecito.

However, now they are missing their two children like crazy and are eager to reunite with them at the earliest. Archie and Lilibet were not a part of the mourning events as Harry and Meghan decided against bringing them to the UK. “They’ve missed the kids like crazy and have been FaceTiming them every day, but can’t wait to see and hold them again after a poignant few weeks,” an insider said as per US Weekly.
This is the first time that the Sussex couple has stayed without their three-year-old and one-year-old for such a long period. Notably, only Prince George and Princess Charlotte were in attendance at the state funeral from the late Queen’s five great-grandchildren. William and Kate’s four-year-old Prince Louis was not present at Westminster Abbey on Monday.
