At the age of 96, Queen Elizabeth II left the world in peace, surrounded by her family at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. However, the illustrious chapters of her life will continue to inspire people today and in the future also. Adapting all those moments from the life of Elizabeth II and her royal family, Peter Morgan created a historical drama, The Crown, which shall be premiering its season 5 soon.

Who will take the throne in season 5 of The Crown?

The Crown last ended with Olivia Colman playing the role of Her Majesty and viewers watching Prince Charles’ marriage. Season 4 was set in the 1970s when Britain got its first female Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher (Gillian Anderson). Now, season 5 is ready to set its foot on Netflix this winter season and will premiere in November.

Last year the official page of The Crown posted a video message where they revealed the actor to play the queen. They announced that the famous Harry Potter star Imelda Staunton would be Elizabeth 2 in season 5. Moreover, the actress said that she would give her best to this role while maintaining the glory they have attained.
